2025-2026 PTO FAQ
PTO Executive Board Members
Miki Gale – PTO President
Hello! I'm Miki Gale, and I'm thrilled to be starting my first year as PTO President. I've been part of the FRG community since 2015 and am the proud mom of two wonderful boys—one in 1st grade and one in 3rd. I also work full-time, so I understand the juggle many families face. I am passionate about making it easier for everyone to stay connected and involved. This year, I'm especially focused on fostering stronger relationships between families and staff and making meaningful contributions wherever possible.
Fun Fact: I love themed parties and can't resist a fun DIY project—especially if it involves a glue gun!
Barbara Schaefer - Vice President
This will be my third year on the PTO board, but my first year as Vice President. I am looking forward to creating innovative ways to support our PTO with Children's Fundraising and encouraging more involvement from our District 3 families this year. My involvement in the PTO has been the Environmental Committee, Website Administrator, Box Tops, After School Programming, and supporting many other programs/events. Although, my husband is a lifetime Fox River Grove resident, we bought our home in June of 2011. We have three children: Anna is in fifth grade grade, Sarah is in second grade, and Matthew is in Kindergarten. I was a teacher before becoming a stay-at-home-mom in 2020, but became a Coordinator of Youth (Preschool - 5th Grade) at my church with their religious education program beginning this fall. I am most eager to be an open ear and support to all to meet the best needs of our school.
Jenn Mepham - Associate Vice President
Hi! I’m Jenn Mepham, proud mom to Emmie (2nd grade) and Easton (incoming preschooler) and wife to RJ! I’m a RN and
currently work as a simulationist for Advocate Health, helping to train and support healthcare teams. I also serve as a Girl Scout Troop Co-Leader for the ARS 2nd grade Brownie troop. In my free time, I love decorating cookies, baking sourdough bread, and practicing yoga. As part of the PTO, I strive to bring fun and memorable experiences to our students and families through creative and engaging fundraising efforts. I’m excited to support our school community and help make this year a great one!
Christine Curtis - Secretary
I'm excited to serve as Secretary on the PTO Board for the first time! I've been volunteering my time with the PTO the past few years through many avenues: Book Fair, Mother/Son bowling, VIP & Me dance, VIP & Me dodgeball, school supply kits, Teacher Appreciation Week, Fun Day, bi-monthly family event and others. I work part time as a nurse at Good Shepherd Hospital while also juggling life with three kids: Weston (4th grade), Brayden (2nd grade) and Macie (3 years old). I'm eager to find ways to connect with ARS families to help boost involvement with PTO programs; there is so much we do and it takes a village!
Arlene Kruser - Treasurer
I’m excited to continue serving as your PTO Treasurer for a fourth year! My family moved to FRG in 2021, and we’ve truly enjoyed
being part of this wonderful community. I have a daughter in 9th grade at Cary-Grove High School and a son in 7th grade at FRG Middle School. Prior to moving here, I served on other school boards as both Secretary and Treasurer.
I look forward to another great year working alongside our amazing parents, students, staff, and community. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns—I'm always happy to help! You can contact me at frgptotreasurer@gmail.com.
